About the Founder:
At 55, Melissa Ortiz is a proud licensed esthetician, founder of Androgyny Esthetics, and proof that it’s never too late to start again. A single mother of three strong young women, she made the bold decision to return to school at 51, pursuing her passion for skincare and self-care with heart and determination. She graduated from the renowned Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics, Skin Care & Makeup, where she trained in advanced techniques rooted in both European and holistic skincare traditions.
Today, she brings that knowledge—and a lifetime of resilience—to her work. Every service at Androgyny Esthetics reflects her belief that beauty has no age, no gender, and no limit. Her mission is to create a space where clients feel seen, soothed, and empowered to glow from the inside out.
